Catholic Textbook Project history textbooks are written for Catholic students. While telling the whole of secular history, our books also include (rather than ignore or “soften”) the historic contributions of Catholic saints, religious orders and laity throughout the world for over 2,000 years.
Written in a narrative style that makes history comes alive for students, these books engage students. As a result, students who use our textbooks remember and understand more of what they have read than had they used a different textbook.
In our textbook production process, great attention is paid to engage students with a narrative writing style that makes history comes alive. With our textbooks, students want to read more. They are engaged, and as a result they remember more of what they learn.
Consider Catholic students in inner city Chicago who used these history textbooks; not only did they learn accurate history, they also dramatically improved their reading levels!
