Ginger Vance Joins Catholic Textbook Project Sales Team
Catholic Textbook Project, the premiere publisher of history textbooks for Catholic schools, welcomes Ginger Vance of St. Michael, MN, to its expanding sales team, effective immediately. Vance’s territory covers Catholic schools and dioceses within the state of Minnesota.
“Ginger is a seasoned Catholic educator and principal,” says Matt Sumers, vice president of marketing and sales for Catholic Textbook Project. “She understands first-hand today’s challenge of finding good material specifically for Catholic schools and she welcomed the opportunity to let peers know about our beautiful history textbooks.
In addition to joining the sales team of Catholic Textbook Project, Vance will continue to serve as principal of Notre Dame Academy, a pre-K through 8th grade Catholic school in the Minneapolis suburbs.
After teaching fourth grade for seven years at Highland Catholic School in St. Paul, Vance segued into the role of principal, a position she’s enjoyed at a number of different schools over the past 15 years. Among her achievements, Vance says she’s most proud of nearly completing the two-year Emmaus program for Catholic school leadership at Boston College. The program has opened up many doors and new levels of understanding about successful leadership as a Catholic principal for Vance. Calling it “a great experience,” she is nonetheless happy to be graduating at the end of March 2017.
“I am excited to be part of the Catholic Textbook Project” says Vance. “These history textbooks not only provide academic rigor, but also educate students on the contributions of Catholic men and women throughout history.
“As a principal in a Catholic school,” continues Vance, “I’ve seen first-hand the lack of availability for Catholic materials for our schools. It’s very difficult to find textbooks that embrace the Catholic worldview, let alone merely include significant historical contributions throughout more than 2,000 years of history. I look forward to answering questions and sharing this excellent history textbooks with other principals and Catholic schools throughout Minnesota.”
